How many Papers can i apply in GATE?

You can apply maximum of 2 Papers (Subjects) in GATE exam.

A candidate is allowed to appear either in ONE or UP TO TWO papers of the GATE 2023 examination. However, a candidate is only allowed to select the second paper from the pre-defined Two Paper Combination list. [6]

GATE is jointly conducted by
Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore
and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee
on behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
